The geological potential of the Andean mountain range that is present throughout the Peruvian territory, makes the Inca country a world power in the mining sector, being one of the main engines of the national economy. Mining contributes 20% of the country's fiscal income, approximately 15% of the GDP and, as if that were not enough, it is estimated that it represents around 60% of its exports.

Peru is one of the world's leading producers of various metals such as gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, iron, tin, molybdenum, tellurium, among others.

The main challenge for the mining sector is to create the necessary conditions in its operation to guarantee productivity and efficiency, as well as the safety of mine workers, the environment and the community, in order to successfully carry out the country's broad portfolio of mining projects.

To achieve this, the technification of processes is key, especially in extreme environments such as CMH's mine, which is located at an altitude of 2,000 meters and a total depth of 1.5 km, in which frontline miners must work under a heat from 30 °C to 40 °C and a 95% humidity with a lot of dust.

In the processes of this mine, it was possible to identify very manual processes, such as the use of paper to write down the instructions of direction and depth of excavationsThe extreme conditions make it difficult to conserve paper and to make progress in operations, causing loss of productivity and efficiency.

Identifying this field of improvement, it was decided to implement the use of robust tablets and it is here that Tempel Group participates in this project of tmine ecnification supplying Getac F11 tablets.

This process took a significant amount of time to test, with only the Getac tablets outperforming them in both the ease of use of the device as well as the effectiveness of the software.

Getac's F110 tablet fully ruggedized has a number of features that make it ideal for the challenging environment CMH miners face every day. It is offered with a 11.6" screen (29.5 cm) that can zoom in and out and weighs only 1.39 kg. Not only is it lightweight and portable, but it also enables frontline miners to accurately determine the excavation managementreducing the possibility of errors and subsequent extraction costs.

The Getac F110 is certified to IP65 and MIL-STD-810G standards. and it is drop, impact, dust and water resistant. Equipped with patented LumiBond 2.0 display technology, it can operate normally in full sunlight. The tablet provides a clear screen image both in a dimly lit mine shaft and in bright sunlight, thus avoiding any interruption of work.

The Getac F110 comes with a new generation Intel processor offering high-speed computing power to ensure complete capture of information and data on the computer after mineral collection. The information is sent to the central database via Wi-Fi.

Thanks to the implementation of ruggedized tablets, the performance of the mine is reflected in the efficient collection and search of information, which saves time and improves work efficiency, as well as the fully ruggedized Getac F110 tablet accompanied with powerful software, provides significant benefits for topographic surveys.

Getac is one of the main partners of Tempel Group, which offers solutions for professional use in extreme environments and conditions, being one of the leaders in the industry. With this partner we share a true passion for business on the move.
